1. For this style, it’s better off to start with some clean and dry hair, meaning shampoo and condition in the shower, and blow dry. If not, you can air dry your hair, but make sure your hair is as tamed as possible.
2. Now, take a nice conditioner spray, and spray your hair. Therefore, it will be easier to comb. Also use a heat protection spray for your own good.
3. Split your hair up into sections to make it easier for you to straighten it. Take a flat iron I recommend using the Chi and plug it into an outlet to heat it up. You’re going to want your iron as hot as possible to have your perfect look.
4. Now that your flat iron is nice and hot, begin to iron down your hair, make sure your hair is nice and straight, we’ll get to the texturing later.
5. With your new straight look, we need to add some “life” to your hair, some texture. Take a styling paste, or gel, anything you use that can style your hair. Now, take a pea size amount of your paste/gel rub it on your fingers and run it through your hair. Your hair is very straight now, with the paste, you want to loosen your strands so your hair isn’t as straight and “stuck together”. Just look at the picture for reference.
6. Take a nice strong hair tie, and gently bring your hair upwards forming a high ponytail (like AJ’s). Comb the top of your hair if there are any bumps. This should be very tight.
7. If you see any fly aways, just take some of your paste, gel, or mousse, anything that will keep your hair in place, and dab some onto the top of your hair, to keep everything where it is supposed to be.
8. You can add hairspray to keep your look, but it should be fine without.
